J'JOKER - In high draw poker a joker can be used for aces, straights, and flushes. In lowball, a joker is used as the lowest unmatched rank.
K'KANSAS CITY LOWBALL (Or DEUCE-TO-SEVEN) - A type of Low Draw poker, in which the highest ranking hand consists of the cards: 7-5-4-3-2. In this game, a hand with a Flush or a Straight is bad for the player.
KICKER - The highest card unpaired which determines the rank of the hand.
KILL (Or KILL BLIND) - A very big blind, in most cases double the amount of the big blind. A "half-kill" may also be used, fixing a bet which is half the size of the big bet. Some games, though not all, make kill a compulsory bet. In these games it would be done in a situation of winning two pots one after the other or winning a certain sized pot in a hi/lo game.
KILL BUTTON - In a lowball game, a button which points to player that has won two pots in a row, and therefor needs to place a kill.
KILL POT - A pot of a game in which a kill was placed.
L'LATE POSITION - When playing last or almost last in a round.
LEG UP - When you've already won one pot and will have to face killing a pot if you win the next game.
LIVE BLIND - A blind which gives a player placing it the possibility of raising, if non of the other players have raised.
LIST - A prearranged rota of the players who want to join the game.
LOCK-UP - A chip marker that holds a seat for a player.
LOOSE - When a player plays more hands than what is customary.
LOOSE GAME - When many players participate in most of the hands played.
LOWBALL - A game of draw poker in which the winner is the player holding the lowest ranking hand.
LOWCARD - In a game of Seven Card Stud poker, the lowest ranking card facing up.
